3" LED Retrofit Module Ready New Work Housing. Comes fully AIR-TIGHT. IC Rated for direct contact with insulation. Comes with adjustable Bar Hangers, Halo Compatible. Small aperture low voltage, thermally protected, specification grade recessed housing. New construction, thermally protected, IC rated specification grade recessed housing. This retrofit-ready LED housing is engineered with a easy connect wiring system which are designed to be used with our 3" LED integrated retrofit kits. LED Retrofit Module is NOT included and must be ordered separately.
Meets California Title 24 "No Edison Socket" standards as well as any state that has banned use of Edison based sockets. The easy connect system allows for simple installation... install a module in seconds, virtually eliminating mis-wiring and potential shock hazards!
Accommodates any of our 3" Integrated LED Recessed Retrofit Kits. Junction box is provided with four ½" KOs, one ¾" KO and four Romex knockouts with strain relief.

A. HOUSING: High-temperature 22-gauge deep drawn single piece housing. Housing adjusts vertically in plaster frame to accommodate ½" to 1-3/8" thick ceilings. Housing is IC rated for direct contact with insulation and can be used in IC and NON-IC applications. Designed to be installed in 2" x 6" joist construction.
B. CONNECTION: Polarity-specific easy connect system engineered to match with all of our 3" LED integrated retrofit modules. Meets strict code requirements where Edison Base Sockets have been banned (Such as California, Washington State, etc). Click Here to see all of our 3" LED Retrofit Modules!
C. BAR HANGERS: Preinstalled bar hangers allow housing to be positioned and locked at any point within a 24" joist span and can be shortened for 12" joists. They contain a double-headed real nail for secure attachment into the joist. Bar hanger nails are installed on a 20° downward angle for better contact, and the 90° pivoting mounting plate makes installation fast and accurate.
D. JUNCTION BOX: UL Listed for through-branch circuit wiring, provided with four ½" KOs, one ¾" KO and four Romex knockouts with true pry-out slots and strain clamps.
E. WARRANTY: Lifetime Warranty on Housing. Our integrated LED Retrofit Kits are typically warrantied for five (5) years. Please see the warranty information for your desired retrofit kit.
